Leave Your Room
Leave Your Room is an immersive play based on the life and work of Joseph Brodsky, a Russian-American poet and essayist.
The multidisciplinary audio experience was staged in the streets of NYC in the form of a promenade with the use of augmented reality technology.
Challenge
The project aims not only to encourage New Yorkers to participate in the immersive performance but also to draw their attention to the rich legacy of Joseph Brodsky.
The performance route traverses the streets associated with the writer's immigration period, and the script addresses the key questions that Brodsky asked himself and society.
Solution
The theme of the LEAVE YOUR ROOM festival is a reference to one of the poet's most famous lines. We based the brand identity on a transportation ticket from the 1970s — the period when Brodsky left Soviet Russia and moved to New York.
In response to the varied requirements of the project, we crafted a visual identity for promotional materials and event programs and created navigation systems and stage layouts.
